i chopped off my hair, again. the indiana heat/humidity was starting to get to me. i think this will work.
in other news, Miles came to work with me yesterday. I keep saying this, but, i don't know if i was exceptionally nice in a previous life, but i scored the best behaved kid ever.
he was such a doll. he took two naps, one during a staff meeting (i'm just saying), and one during the afternoon (i actually got some work done). then we went to my boss's house for a pre-semester party. Miles stayed up just to flirt with everyone at the party. we had a great time, and i wish i took some pictures.
At this point in his life, Miles enjoys standing by the window and banging stuff on it. As seen here:
as of now, i'm on "staycation" for the week. I've got lots planned. I'm going to throw out all my pre-pregnancy clothes (because let's be honest, they will never fit me again), we're going to the farmer's market on Tuesday, I'll get some other errands done, and basically spend as much time as i can with my favorite 27" tall guy, Miles.
Finally, some of the best news this week. my BIL, Rob, is coming back from Iraq today. We're so glad to have him home, safe and sound. He'll be coming to visit the M^3 family later next month.

dont you love having well-behaved children? mine is good, only when we're not at home. we went to church last night, and he was better than most of the kids older than him. it's great!

dude. i am so happy that you and my brother procreated.
(however, you should know that miles' good behavior is actually a carefully calculated attempt to lull you into a false sense of security. i'm just sayin'.)
